The Palms: What You Need to Know

The lodge is on the beautiful south-east coast of Zanzibar, between its two sister sites, Baraza and Breezes. There are only six wooden rooms (bandas) in this very private Tanzanian vacation spot, making it the most private of the three.

Even though the bandas are away from the beach, they have a beautiful view of the Indian Ocean. In true Swahili way, the main guest area is set up between the bandas and the beach. It has a natural charm that makes it feel like you’re there. A beautiful tropical garden surrounds the area, making you feel even more alone and private. There is a bar in the evening and a pool bar during the day. It even has a small internet bar for people who want to stay online all the time. The main pool is on a level and looks very attractive…

Each banda has two bedrooms, and each one has a big bathroom right next to it. They all have a private plunge pool, a minibar, satellite TV, and every other little comfort you could want. The beds are very big and very comfy, so you can really relax during your stay. There is also a protected beach bed for each banda so that everyone can be alone, even on the beach.

The Palms really do offer a level of personal service that goes above and beyond what you would normally expect from a beach lodge. To make sure that all of their people are happy, they do everything possible.
