Amani Beach Club. Amani Beach Club is on Tanzania’s main land coast, just south of Dar es Salaam, which is the country’s business city. This beach hotel on a hard-to-reach coast is a great deal. People who live outside of Dar es Salaam usually drive down here on the weekends to get away from the busy streets of Dar. Some of our favorite beach cabins in Tanzania is right down the beach from this hotel, so we don’t stay here very often. Even though it costs more, we think it’s worth it.

What You Need to Know About Amani Beach Club

Amani is only 60 km south of Dar es Salaam. It takes about 2 hours to drive there, or 15 minutes on a charter trip. There are only a few homes on this beach, so it hasn’t been touched much and is still very wild. This makes it a great place for honeymoons in Tanzania. Amani is at the end of the beach, next to a cliff with rock pools.

The lodge is spread out over well-kept grounds and has a huge swimming pool. With only 10 rooms, it feels cozy, quiet, and easy. On a trip to Tanzania, the mainland coast is often forgotten, but Amani makes up for it.

You get what you pay for here; the food and service are simple and good.
