What We Think The newest part of Onsea House is Machweo Retreat. Onsea House is its sister property. One of the best small hotels in Arusha is Onsea House, and right next door is Machweo Retreat, which has rooms and service that are just as good. Some of the best food in East Africa can be found here. Our first choices for places to stay in Arusha are Onsea House or Machweo Retreat. If these are both booked up, we suggest Rivertrees. For a more upscale and fancy experience, we suggest the Arusha Coffee Lodge.

What We Think There is no doubt that Onsea House is the best value property in Arusha. More people like this food than any other in the country. The location, rooms, and service are all great, making it the best place to stay for one or two nights in Arusha. You’ll feel right at home at Onsea because it is owned by the same people who run it. There are other places to stay in Arusha, but none of them have gotten so many good reviews. If you really want a high-end lodge, check out the Arusha Coffee Lodge. This one, on the other hand, will save you a lot of money.

Arusha Coffee House

What We Think There are not many high-end hotels in or near Arusha. The Arusha Coffee Lodge is the best of them all. This place keeps up high standards of quality and service because Elewana owns and runs it. The fact that it is on a real coffee plantation gives your stay a different feel and air. Most people only stay in Arusha for one night, but some people stay for two. If you want to save some money, Onsea House or Machweo Retreat are our first choices. If they are both booked, Rivertrees is the next best thing.

Lodge on Lake Duluti

The places to stay in Arusha are very different in terms of quality, price, and the range of standards that are met. At the high end of the market, Lake Duluti is a great place to stay before or after a pricey tour. Aside from having great rooms and a great setting, it also has great service. These two hotels, along with the Arusha Coffee Lodge, are the best high-end places to stay in Arusha.

Rivertrees Lodge

What We Think This is one of Arusha’s best small homes. It is rural and peaceful and offers an excellent level of service with lovely rooms. The restaurant here is a favourite in the area and the lovely backdrop of Mt Meru make this a very peaceful setting. Onsea House would be its best match and if you are looking for something more upmarket and stylish then look at the Arusha Coffee Lodge. Rivertrees is furthest away from the Arusha airport, however, it is a great choice for a peaceful night after your foreign flights.

Moivaro Coffee Estate

With quite a range of lodges and small hotels to choose from these days in and around Arusha, this lodge stands out as being a good choice. There is good service at the lodge, and the rooms are clean and bright. It has a good-sized pool for people who may have come down Kilimanjaro and want to cool off in the afternoon. It’s also great for people who have come from anywhere else. A nice choice for people who want a quiet and charming place to stop on their way through. It’s great for families, but if you want a small, private space, you should look elsewhere.
