Rivertrees Lodge | Arusha. This is one of the best small homes in Arusha. It’s in the country, so it’s quiet, and the service and rooms are beautiful. People in the area love this restaurant, and the peaceful view of Mt. Meru makes it a great place to be. The closest place like it is Onsea House, and the Arusha Coffee Lodge is a better choice if you want something more high-end and stylish. Rivertrees is the farthest from Arusha Airport, but it’s a great place to stay for a quiet night after a flight between countries.

What You Need to Know About Rivertrees Lodge

Rivertrees is west of Arusha, on the same level as Kilimanjaro airport and about a 30-minute drive from Arusha airport. It is near the edge of Arusha National Park and in the small foothills of Mt. Meru. This is a great place to start your Tanzania safari.

In the main part of the lodge, there are open walls and a big, high thatch roof, just like in a country inn. It’s open, and you can see into the kitchen through a number of red brick arches. The food is great, and the setting makes it even better. They also have a great wood-burning pizza oven.

There is a big lobby with couches and a big fireplace in the middle. All of the window frames are made of soft, wooden materials, which goes well with the big trees that stand guard over the property in the large, open yard. The Usa River, which flows through the land and comes from Mt. Meru, is the best thing about it. Watch out for different kinds of birds and the cheeky monkeys that like to show up for breakfast in the yard.

You can spend one or two nights in one of the garden rooms after a long international trip. The furniture is simple but elegant. We really like the two river cabins the best. They are right by the river and are a great way to start your vacation with a little something extra. But the River House is great for families and people who want more room.

All nearby activities can be planned here for people who want to see more, like mountain biking, kayaking on Lake Duluti, cultural trips, and trips to Mt. Kilimanjaro.
